About us

Roofing companies in Scottsdale: what to expect from us

We do roofing — tile, foam, shingle and flat — across Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills and the North Valley. Repairs when a repair is right, a relay when the felt is gone, a new roof when the tile is, and the photos to show you which.

How we work

We lift tile before we quote. Nobody can tell you the condition of a Scottsdale tile roof from the driveway, and most of the bad advice in this town comes from people who tried. Every estimate starts on the roof with tile lifted in several places and a photo of the underlayment. You see what we see.

We price the repair and the alternative. If a repair will hold, that is what we recommend. If the felt is gone, you get the repair price and the relay price side by side, with an honest estimate of how long the repair buys. What you do with that is your call, and the estimate is good for 30 days.

We tell you what the quote includes, by name. Underlayment product and layers, whether valley metal and flashings are new, tile breakage per piece, deck repair per sheet, permit. That is how our cost page is written and it is how the estimate reads.

We do not play the storm game. No door-knocking after a microburst, no "your whole roof is totaled" before a tile has been lifted, no waived deductibles, no contingency contracts. We document damage from the roof and tell you honestly what is storm and what is age before you file.

License, bond and insurance

Arizona requires anyone contracting for roofing work to hold a Registrar of Contractors license — CR-42 is the roofing classification — and to post a bond. We carry the license and the bond, plus general liability and workers' compensation insurance. You will get the ROC number and the insurance certificate before work starts. Verify any contractor's license at azroc.gov; it shows status, bond, and complaint history, and the ROC's Residential Contractors' Recovery Fund only protects homeowners who hired a licensed contractor. Roofing contractors Scottsdale homeowners hire should produce that number on request; one who cannot should not be on your roof.

Where we work

Scottsdale end to end: South Scottsdale and Old Town, McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch, Scottsdale Ranch, Kierland, Grayhawk, DC Ranch, McDowell Mountain Ranch, Troon, Desert Mountain and everything between. Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Carefree and Rio Verde at the same rates, and the Scottsdale side of Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. Chandler and Gilbert on request.

What we do and don't do

We do residential roofing Scottsdale-wide — tile, foam, shingle, flat and metal — and small commercial roofs on the same systems. We do not do gutters as a standalone trade, though gutter and roof repair Scottsdale homeowners ask about often overlap at the drip edge and we handle the roof side of it. We do not do solar, but we will tell you what a solar installer's penetrations did to your underlayment.

If you are choosing between roofing companies in Scottsdale, the questions to ask before you hire post is the list we would use ourselves. If you want an opinion on your roof, call — the estimate is free and the photos are yours whether you hire us or not.

How estimate requests are handled

Calls and requests through this site are handled by an independent, insured local roofing contractor we work with in Scottsdale, who provides the written quote and performs the work. Prices on the site are typical Scottsdale ranges, not a quote.

Questions we get asked

Do you give free estimates?

Yes, for any specific roof problem: a leak, broken tile, a foam roof that needs a coat, a replacement quote. A standalone pre-purchase or insurance inspection with a written report is a flat fee, credited back against a repair over $1,000 within 30 days. Either way you keep the photos.

What areas do you cover?

All of Scottsdale, plus Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, Cave Creek and Carefree with no travel charge, and the Scottsdale edges of Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. If you are in the 480 or 602 area codes and not sure, call — the answer is usually yes.

Do you offer a warranty?

Materials carry the manufacturer's warranty, registered in your name. Our workmanship on repairs is covered through the next monsoon season; on relays and replacements for a longer written term stated on the estimate. If something we did leaks, we come back and fix it, and that is in writing before we start.
